EDITRON electric machines are liquid-cooled permanent-magnet machines with synchronous reluctance assistance. They can run as propulsion motors or as generators in hybrid and electric drivetrains. The standard EM-PMI line includes marine-applicable models from the EM-PMI240-T180 (48–114 kW, up to 9,200 rpm) to the EM-PMI540B-T4000 (284–896 kW, up to 3,100 rpm). Danfoss states the technology is used on marine machines up to 6 MW.
