The Geislinger Coupling is a torsionally elastic, high-damping steel-spring coupling. By tuning the torsional stiffness of the drivetrain, it keeps critical resonances out of the operating range, and it is used between main engines and gearboxes or generators in marine propulsion. A compact SAE Coupling variant is offered for engines with SAE flywheel standards.
