Hydromaster's tunnel thrusters are built for mooring and DP assistance, using large reduction ratios to allow relatively large propellers and more thrust per kW. They can be driven by AC induction or permanent-magnet electric motors, hydraulic motors, or diesel engines via L- or Z-drive, and are supplied with steel or aluminium tunnels of custom length and optional sloped ends for shallow draught. The company has also supplied swing-type side thrusters for megayachts.
