DU-WinGD two-stroke engines
WinGD (ex-Sulzer) two-stroke engines built by Mitsui E&S DU and at Tamano, including LNG, methanol and ammonia dual-fuel models.
Mitsui E&S DU, the former Diesel United acquired from IHI in 2023, has built WinGD (formerly Sulzer) low-speed engines since 1950. Engines include common-rail electronically controlled X-series and dual-fuel X-DF (LNG) models, with methanol (X-DF-M) and ammonia (X-DF-A) versions also offered under the licence. WinGD has added the Tamano factory to its Japanese builder network, and Mitsui E&S cleared Japan's first WinGD methanol engine. DU's WinGD and Pielstick output together exceed 50 million hp.
