n-Floating is a concept for a floating nuclear power plant carrying several newcleo LFR-AS-200 reactors of 200 MWe each. The consortium of newcleo, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore and ABMI Groupe received about EUR 1 million from Bpifrance under a programme to decarbonise the French maritime sector, for an 18-month study that started in 2026. The plant would supply ports, islands, coastal industry, desalination and low-carbon fuel production, with industrial deployment targeted for 2036.
