SAVER Air
Shipyard-developed air lubrication system fitted to SHI-built LNG carriers, container ships and tankers to reduce hull friction.
SAVER Air (Samsung Air Lubrication) injects air beneath the hull to form a layer that lowers frictional resistance and fuel consumption. Developed by SHI, it is offered as an energy-saving and CII-improvement option on newbuild LNG carriers, container ships and tankers built at its own yard.
