K15

The K15 is a compact pressurised water reactor designed by TechnicAtome for French naval propulsion, with a thermal output of about 150 MWt. It powers the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which has two units, the Triomphant-class ballistic missile submarines and the Barracuda/Suffren-class attack submarines. TechnicAtome is prime contractor for the reactor plants of the six Barracuda boats, four of which had been delivered by July 2026.
