The K22 is TechnicAtome's new-generation naval propulsion reactor, with a thermal output of about 220 MWt. Two units will power France's next-generation aircraft carrier (PANG, named France Libre). The reactors will supply energy converted to electricity for propulsion, ship systems and the electromagnetic aircraft catapults. TechnicAtome describes them as the most powerful naval reactor plants ever designed in France. The realisation phase began in December 2025, with service planned for 2038.
