In the CS design the vertical steering shaft sits at the same end as the horizontal rotor shaft, giving a compact unit welded into the hull. Static thrust ranges from about 1,003 to 6,974 kg. It suits retrofits and space-constrained vessels such as canal and river barges, ferries, dredgers and research ships.
