The TF40 is Vericor's original marine gas turbine, rated at 4,000 shp (2,983 kW) continuous and 4,600 shp (3,430 kW) boost, with a weight of 602 kg including accessories and a package of about 1,321 x 1,041 x 889 mm. It runs on marine diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, LNG or LPG. It powers LCAC air-cushion landing craft, including those of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, as well as high-performance yachts and fast ferries.
