The Voith Inline Thruster is a rim-drive transverse thruster: the motor is integrated in the ring around the propeller, giving direct power transfer, low noise and vibration, and a compact installation. The motors are seawater-cooled, maintenance-free and drive bronze propellers. The Voith Inline Propulsor uses the same technology in a swing-out unit that can pivot 360 degrees. Both are used on yachts, offshore oil and gas and wind vessels, and special ships.
