The DZ family is ABC's core workboat engine range. Inline 6- and 8-cylinder DZ engines produce roughly 864–1,768 kW, while the V-configuration VDZC is offered with 12 or 16 cylinders at about 2,650 kW or 3,536 kW. The engines are used for main propulsion and gensets on tugs, dredgers, offshore vessels and ferries and run on MGO or HFO. A DZC variant received EPA Tier III approval.
