ecoCO2 is a cargo handling and reliquefaction system for ships carrying refrigerated liquid CO2 from capture sites to storage or use. It operates at low pressure and can also be configured for multi-cargo carriers (CO2, LPG, ammonia). It received Lloyd's Register Approval in Principle in 2023. The first commercial gas trial was completed aboard a vessel in December 2025, and commercial deployment began in 2026. (Earlier data described it as onboard carbon capture. Babcock presents it as a CO2 transport system.)
