Berg MTA azimuth thrusters
360-degree azimuth thrusters in Z-drive (engine or motor) and L-drive (electric motor) layouts, with FP or CP propellers and hybrid booster options.
Berg's MTA azimuth thrusters provide main propulsion and steering in one unit for tugs, ferries, offshore and fishing vessels. Z-drive versions have a horizontal input shaft for diesel engines or electric motors, while L-drive versions have a vertical input shaft for electric motors. Units are available with controllable- or fixed-pitch propellers, and a mechanical diesel drive can be complemented by an electric booster motor to form a hybrid arrangement.
