LA series
Long-stroke six-cylinder direct-drive engines, 1,029–1,912 kW at 260–370 rpm, some with reversing gearbox.
The LA series uses a long stroke and low speed so it can drive the propeller directly, with 'G' models having an integrated reversing gearbox. All are six-cylinder engines: the LA26G (260×520 mm, 1,029 kW at 370 rpm) through the LA34(G) (340×720 mm, 1,765–1,912 kW at 260–270 rpm). Hanshin cites low fuel consumption, low NOx, reduced noise from hydraulic valve actuation and long maintenance intervals. Around 370 units have been shipped.
