The Switch PM propulsion motors and drives
Permanent-magnet machines used as propulsion motors for main propulsion and thrusters, paired with The Switch drives.
The same PMM machine platform is used as a propulsion motor for electric and hybrid vessels, with ratings from about 0.5 MW up to 12 MW and low-speed direct-drive options. Combined with The Switch's inverters and DC-Hub, the motors provide variable-speed propulsion for ferries, offshore vessels, tankers and other ship types, sold through system integrators and OEMs.
