The Switch PM shaft generators
Direct-drive PM shaft generators for low-speed two-stroke engines, from 0.5 MW (PMM850M) to 12 MW (PMM2000M).
The Switch's PMM machines are designed for direct mounting on the propeller shaft of large low-speed two-stroke engines, where they act as variable-speed shaft generators (PTO) and can also work as motors (PTI). Ratings range from the PMM850M (0.5-2 MW, 0-400 rpm) for regional tankers and feeders to the PMM1500M (2-4 MW) for bulkers, gas carriers and tankers and the PMM2000M (4-12 MW, 580-1,500 kNm) for container ships.
