Weichai WH20 medium-speed engines
Inline 6- and 8-cylinder medium-speed engines of 905-1,765 kW at 750-1,000 rpm for propulsion and gensets; LNG and methanol variants.
The WH20 is Weichai's medium-speed four-stroke engine, turbocharged and intercooled, in six-cylinder (56.55 L, 905-1,320 kW) and eight-cylinder (75.4 L, 1,103-1,765 kW) versions at rated speeds of 750, 900 or 1,000 rpm. It meets IMO Tier II, runs on diesel with heavy fuel oil capability and quotes oil consumption of 0.5 g/kWh or less. A micro-pilot-ignition LNG version of the WH20 and the 6WH17 methanol engine extend the family to alternative fuels.
