About
WPT Power Corporation is based in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was founded in 1992 by three partners as a privately owned engineering and manufacturing company, at first supplying pneumatic clutches and brakes to the oil and gas industry.
The company began building a distributor network in 1993 and now has more than 40 distributors, selling in over 60 countries to the energy, agriculture, forestry, marine, mining and off-highway sectors. It operates a facility of more than 60,000 square feet in Wichita Falls and a 53,000 square foot plant in Shanghai, with more than 120 employees across both locations, and lists regional contacts in Chile, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Patented developments began in 1993 with the Power Grip Clutch. A research and development department was formed in 2015 and has since obtained patents for the Python Hydraulic Clutch Control.
