MaK dual-fuel engines
Medium-speed dual-fuel engines able to run on natural gas or liquid fuel.
MaK's dual-fuel engines, including the M 34 DF and M 46 DF, operate on natural gas with liquid-fuel backup and are offered for propulsion and power generation on gas-fuelled ships. They are built by MaK in Kiel, Germany, alongside the diesel range, and suit vessels such as ferries, offshore units and gas-fuelled merchant ships that need both gas and liquid-fuel operation.
