MaK methanol conversions
Retrofit solutions allowing MaK engines to run on methanol or ethanol.
Caterpillar offers conversion solutions for MaK medium-speed engines to operate on methanol or ethanol. According to the input research, M 32 and M 43 engines with high-pressure direct injection can run on up to 95% alcohol fuel. The retrofits are aimed at owners who want to cut emissions from engines already in service.
