MTU Series 8000 / 4000 / 1163 naval engines
Naval main propulsion diesels up to 10,000 kW for frigates, corvettes and patrol vessels in CODAD and CODAG plants.
For naval propulsion, mtu offers the Series 8000 (7,280–10,000 kW, 16V/20V), the Series 1163 (4,800–7,400 kW) and the Series 4000. They are used as main propulsion diesels in CODAD and CODAG plants on frigates, corvettes, offshore patrol vessels and coast guard cutters. The engines are delivered with mtu automation and integration support for naval shipbuilders.
