Veth L-drive / Integrated L-drive
Electric L-drive azimuths, 61–2,350 kW, with vertically mounted or fully integrated electric motor, no upper gearbox.
Veth L-drives are driven by a vertically mounted electric motor, so no upper gearbox is needed and efficiency improves. The range runs from the VL-50 (61 kW, 450 mm propeller) through popular sizes such as the VL-90 (140 kW) and VL-200 (265 kW), up to 2,350 kW. The Integrated L-Drive builds the electric motor into the thruster housing for compact diesel-electric and battery-electric installations.
