Volvo Penta's D-series covers marine diesels from the D4 and D6 through the D8, D11 and D13 to the D16/D17, for leisure and commercial vessels. They are supplied as inboard shaft installations or as IPS pod packages and can run on HVO. The D11, for instance, is a 10.8-litre in-line six-cylinder common-rail diesel with a twin-entry turbocharger. Commercial versions are certified to IMO II/III.
