Aquadrive

Aquadrive is an antivibration driveline system for boats. The engine sits on soft mounts while a thrust unit fastened to a load bearing hull section takes the propeller thrust, which reduces stress on the transmission, the engine mounts and the engine bearings and lowers wear on the stern seal.

In a traditional installation the drive shaft must be precisely aligned with the engine, which requires regular maintenance, and rigid engine feet pass vibration into the hull. With the Aquadrive layout the CV shaft adjusts automatically to changes in alignment, so periodic realignment is not required. The system can be retrofitted, including in tight engine compartments.
