GLIDE Bearings & Seal Systems is based in Alto, Michigan, USA. It was founded in 2013 by owner Tim Creighton, whose dripless seal system designs and marine bearings were first developed in 2001.
According to the company, MasterCraft and Malibu adopted the seal system across their boats in 2005, and builders using it today include MasterCraft, Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, MB Sports, Tige and VanDam Custom Boats. The current generation GMSS was introduced in 2013 and moved to all stainless hardware as standard in 2018.
Tim Creighton works alongside his son, Tim Jr., and a small team. Besides recreational and commercial marine, the company supplies bearings and seal systems to the pump, industrial, agricultural and food industries. Seal systems are made in the USA.
