About

HJ Lubricators was founded in 1917 in Copenhagen, Denmark by the engineer Hans Peter Jensen, who started a blacksmith shop after seven years at sea and began producing lubricators for the Danish shipyard B&W. The company later moved to Hadsund, Denmark, where it is based today.

The first SIP valve was developed in the 1990s. A Singapore office opened in 2014, and in 2022 the company became part of the Danish G&O Maritime Group, a cluster of maritime companies.

The company states that it has retrofitted more than 3,500 vessels worldwide and describes itself as the only company specialising in cylinder lubrication for two-stroke marine engines.
