Marelli Motori
Italian maker of synchronous generators and motors incl. marine-certified models.
Arzignano, VI · Company
About
Marelli Motori traces its origins to 1891, when Ercole Marelli set up a small factory in Milan making electrical motors and equipment. Antonio Pellizzari founded a workshop in Vicenza in 1901, and Marelli Motori was created from the fusion of these two Italian companies. A new plant built in Arzignano in 1970 forms the basis of the facility used today.
The company is headquartered in Arzignano, Italy, employs around 500 people and has subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, South Africa and Malaysia, with a sales, distribution and service network on four continents and products supplied in more than 120 countries.
In 2019 Marelli Motori was acquired by Langley Holdings plc, the privately owned British engineering and industrial group.
