MSA Safety

MSA Safety Incorporated was established in 1914, when John T. Ryan and George Deike set out to find a better way to protect workers. The company describes itself as the global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of safety products and is known as The Safety Company.

Its products are used in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, the fire service, construction, mining and the military. Core products are self-contained breathing apparatus, fixed gas and flame detection systems, portable gas detection instruments, industrial head protection, fire and rescue helmets and fall protection devices.

The stated mission is that men and women may work in safety and that they, their families and their communities may live in health throughout the world. MSA runs separate country sites for North America, South America, Europe and other regions; this entry is based on the United States site.
