Startwell

Startwell Engineering was founded in 1992 and develops uncomplicated, maintenance-friendly mechanical starting devices for industries with rigorous demands. The registered company is Startwell Engineering (U.K.) Limited, with its office at 58 Wilbury Way in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

The starters are used worldwide in power generation, construction, marine, mining, agriculture and defence, including remote mining sites, offshore facilities, emergency backup power systems and marine operations. Because the design is non-electric, it is suited to hazardous locations where sparks must be avoided.

The Heavy Duty Midi, released in February 1996, was the original heavy duty starter of the company and the basis for the later product range.
