US maker of torsional vibration dampers.

Springville, NY · Company

About

Vibratech TVD is based in Springville, New York, USA, and gives 1946 as its year of establishment, when its predecessor Houdaille pioneered the viscous torsional damper. The business later operated as Houdaille Hydraulics and, from the 1980s, as Vibratech, Inc., which introduced the Fluidampr damper to the motorsports market.

After Vibratech, Inc. dissolved in the early 2000s, the torsional viscous damper product line, including Fluidampr, was acquired by its high precision machining supplier and renamed Vibratech TVD in 2003. The company is a member of Horschel Companies.

All dampers are manufactured in the USA. The stated mission is to protect the engines that move the world, working with global OEM and Tier 1 powertrain manufacturers on damper design and development.
