Brunvoll's retractable azimuth thrusters retract into the hull when not in use. They are used for dynamic positioning and emergency propulsion on offshore, SOV/CSOV and special vessels. The range runs from the AR 63 (1,650 mm propeller, 500–880 kW) to the AR 115 (2,900 mm, 2,500–3,500 kW), and custom sizes are available. Variants include a combi thruster that can also work as a tunnel thruster, and a shock-qualified design for naval use.
