Duramax BoxCooler
Sea-chest box cooler with aluminium-brass tubes, heat-cured synthetic coating and ICAF copper-anode anti-fouling.
The Duramax BoxCooler sits in a sea chest inside the hull, protected from underwater hazards, and works by thermosiphon natural convection. Its aluminium-brass (CuZn20Al) tubes have a proprietary heat-cured synthetic coating against galvanic corrosion. An impressed-current anti-fouling system with copper anodes limits marine growth. One unit can serve one or several heat sources, such as main and auxiliary engines, bow thrusters, air-conditioning and hydraulics.
