Kawasaki makes controllable-pitch propellers for input powers of about 1,000–50,000 kW. Notable examples are the 11 m diameter 2200P3, the world's largest CPP when built, and the 9.15 m 2400P5, then the largest five-bladed CPP. The current CH series includes the 1780CH (6 m), 1580CH5 (5.5 m) and 2000CH (8 m). Kawasaki cites fuel efficiency, low vibration, good manoeuvrability and the ability to stop a vessel without reversing the engine.
