EY series medium-speed engines
Medium-speed diesel engines for main propulsion (6EY17W to 8EY33W) and gensets (6EY18ALW to 8EY33LW) at 720–1,000 rpm.
Yanmar's EY family is its medium-speed platform. Propulsion models run from the 6EY17W and 6EY22AW to the 6/8EY26W and 6/8EY33W. Auxiliary versions include the 6EY18ALW, 6EY21ALW and 6EY22ALW (900/1,000 rpm) and the 6EY18LW to 8EY33LW (720/750 rpm). The engines are used on merchant ships (mainly as gensets), fishing vessels, workboats and coastal ships, and run on MGO or HFO.
