About

The history of Centek Marine dates back to 1962 in Boca Raton, Florida, where the company, then known as Vernay Products, began fabricating fiberglass marine mufflers and developed the Vernatone. Vernatube wet exhaust tubing followed in 1967 and the Vernalift muffler in 1975.

In the late 1980s all operations moved to a 60,000 square foot plant in Thomasville, Georgia, and in 1994 Vernay Products became Centek Industries, Inc. Centek Marine is a division of Centek Industries.

Under CEO Bill Hodges the company added ventilation products through the purchase of Delta-T Systems and metal riser fabrication through the acquisition of Viking Marine Exhaust in 2023. Its markets are recreational craft, megayachts and superyachts, and military and commercial vessels.
