About
Mariner was established in 1976 by Birol Alpay in Istanbul, Turkey, and has grown into an international designer and manufacturer of deck machinery and marine equipment. The headquarters and manufacturing hub is in Tuzla, Istanbul, at the centre of the Turkish shipbuilding industry, and houses management, the naval design office, quality control, production bays and spare parts logistics.
A German company of the group, established in the late 1990s in Jork near Hamburg, acts as the European marketing, procurement and logistics hub. It keeps a warehouse of OEM spare parts and coordinates field service engineers for European shipowners and international fleets.
The company runs an integrated management system to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
