Everllence B&W ME-GI / ME-GIE
Diesel-cycle high-pressure gas injection engines for LNG/bio-methane (ME-GI, 4,350-82,440 kW) and ethane (ME-GIE, 8,600-21,440 kW).
The ME-GI injects gas at high pressure in the Diesel cycle, giving very low methane slip and high efficiency on LNG, bio-methane or synthetic methane, with fuel oil as back-up. It spans 4,350-82,440 kW at 56-167 rpm. The ME-GIE variant burns liquefied ethane gas and is used on ethane carriers, covering 8,600-21,440 kW at 72-100 rpm.
