Rim Drive tunnel thruster
Permanent-magnet rim-drive tunnel thrusters from 1,000 to 2,700 kW, 1.6–2.6 m propellers and up to 410 kN thrust.
The RD-TT puts a permanent-magnet motor in the rim around the propeller, so no gear or shaft is needed in the tunnel. Four sizes are offered: RD-TT 1600 (1,000 kW, 156 kN), RD-TT 2000 (1,600 kW, 243 kN), RD-TT 2300 (2,100 kW, 320 kN) and RD-TT 2600 (2,700 kW, 410 kN).
