About

Neuver Maritime is headquartered in Brattvåg in the maritime cluster of western Norway and operates from Brattvåg, Ålesund and Hagavik, with a global sales and service network. Its history goes back to 1953 and to the Tenfjord and Frydenbø steering gears and Hareid rudders.

These businesses were brought together under Ulstein, acquired by Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine in 1999 and transferred to Kongsberg Maritime in 2019. In September 2024 Norvestor signed an agreement to acquire the steering gear and rudder business of Kongsberg Maritime, and in 2025 the business became the independent company Neuver Maritime.

The company describes itself as a lifecycle partner that carries on with the same technology and the same people as before the change of name, with a dedicated focus on maneuvering solutions for safe and efficient operation at sea.
