Its core marine product is the medium-speed four-stroke engine. The range runs from the Wärtsilä 20 (about 0.7 MW) to the 46TS-DF (about 21 MW) and covers diesel, LNG dual-fuel, pure gas, methanol and ammonia, including the Wärtsilä 25 Ammonia and the methanol-fuelled Wärtsilä 32. Around the engines, Wärtsilä supplies HY hybrid power modules, energy management and power drives. Its fuel supply systems include LNGPac, MethanolPac, AmmoniaPac and gas valve units, which it kept after the separate Gas Solutions business was sold to Mutares in 2026.
The propulsion portfolio, which includes the former Lips propeller business, covers controllable-pitch, fixed-pitch and built-up propellers, steerable, retractable and transverse thrusters, modular and midsize waterjets of up to about 33 MW, and marine gears. The Shaft Line Solutions unit, built on Deep Sea Seals and Cedervall, supplies stern tube seals, bearings and the FuTube shaft line. Wärtsilä also offers energy-saving devices (EnergoFlow, EnergoProFin, EnergoPac), ProTouch propulsion control and UNIC engine automation.
