About
TECO-Westinghouse is headquartered at 5100 North IH-35 in Round Rock, Texas, and traces its legacy back to George Westinghouse. It serves the petrochemical, electric utility, pulp and paper, water and wastewater, air conditioning, marine, mining and metals industries.
The Round Rock plant was built by Westinghouse Electric Corporation for gas turbine production, with ground broken in late 1971. In 1975 the Westinghouse Heavy Industrial Motor Division was chartered there and the plant was re-tooled for large motors; the first new motors shipped in December 1976.
Today the offering covers design, manufacture, service and repair of medium and high voltage induction, synchronous and DC motors and generators, as well as medium and high voltage variable frequency drives.
