About

Victron Energy B.V. has its main office in Almere, the Netherlands. The company traces its start to the early 1970s, when founder Reinout Vader took apart a borrowed inverter and set out to improve it. It describes itself today as one of the foremost developers of power products for marine, RV, off-grid, industrial and speciality vehicle use.

The products are designed in the Netherlands and sold through more than 3000 dealers to millions of customers worldwide. The company says its systems are proven in offshore workboats, hybrid generators and emergency vehicles.

On the marine side, the company notes that its people are ocean going sailors themselves and that it has worked with clients on marine power solutions for more than 45 years.
