Joystick-based manoeuvring and control system covering all speeds up to DP2, with collision-avoidance advisory and autodocking.
ABB Ability Marine Pilot Control lets the crew control the whole voyage from one system, using a single joystick and touch screen for manoeuvring, transit and position keeping. It predicts vessel behaviour and automates manual sequences. It uses a force-control joystick and supports operation up to DP2, collision-avoidance advisory, automated braking assistance and autodocking. The system is modular and part of ABB's AX Bridge platform, so software updates can raise the level of automation or remote control.
