Azipod D is the mid-power member of the Azipod family, aimed at offshore vessels, ferries and special-purpose ships. It keeps the gearless pod concept, with the electric motor inside the pod driving the propeller directly, and it provides 360° steering for station-keeping and manoeuvring duties.
