Wärtsilä's oil-lubricated stern tube seals, including the Sternguard and air-type Airguard designs, seal the propeller shaft against seawater ingress and oil leakage. They come from the Deep Sea Seals heritage and are supplied for deep-sea merchant ships, cruise ships and naval vessels, along with rudder stock, stabiliser, pod and thruster seals.
