The Wärtsilä 32 is one of the company's most widely deployed engines, used on drill rigs, dredgers and tugs. The Wärtsilä 32 Methanol, launched in 2022 with first engines delivered in early 2023, runs on methanol, HFO, MDO and liquid biofuels at 3.4–5.2 MW and 720–750 rpm. It builds on methanol operation on the ferry Stena Germanica since 2015.
