High-efficiency engine of 4.6–10.4 MW (650 kW/cyl diesel) in diesel, dual-fuel, pure-gas and methanol versions.

The Wärtsilä 31 comes in diesel, 31DF dual-fuel and 31SG pure-gas versions, with a 31 Methanol version (4.7–9.8 MW) in development. It covers 4.6–10.4 MW from 8 to 16 cylinders at 720 or 750 rpm, and the diesel version reaches 650 kW per cylinder. Applications include cruise ships, ferries, fishing vessels and merchant ships.
