UNIC is Wärtsilä's embedded engine control and automation system for its four-stroke engines. It handles speed and load control, fuel injection, safety and monitoring functions for diesel, gas and dual-fuel engines. A newer generation was introduced with the Wärtsilä 31, and upgrades are offered for installed engines.
