EnergoFlow is a pre-swirl stator fitted ahead of the propeller. It conditions the inflow to improve propulsive efficiency, and Wärtsilä quotes fuel savings of about 2–7% depending on the project. It is designed for newbuilds and retrofits on tankers, bulk carriers and container ships.
